New “MOMents That Matter” Category Will Honor Authentic Stories About the Joy of Bringing Life Into the World as Part of a Keynote at #BlogHer16: Experts Among Us, August 4-6 in LA
NEW YORK, NY – April 11, 2015 – SheKnows Media, a leading women's media company, today announced a new “MOMents That Matter” category in #BlogHer16’s Voices of the Year celebration of community voices. The new “MOMents That Matter” #VOTY category is made possible by Merck for Mothers, Merck’s 10-year, $500 million initiative to help create a world where no woman dies giving life.
“MOMents That Matter” is designed to celebrate the future represented by bringing new life into the world, and the honored creators will be eligible to present their work on stage.

Each year, SheKnows Media recognizes a special group of content creators as the official BlogHer Voices of the Year (#VOTY), including a subset who are selected to perform onstage at the BlogHer annual conference during the Community Keynote session.
#VOTY submissions open April 11, 2016 and content creators are invited to submit works in the following categories:
The Voices of the Year are selected via a panel of social influencer luminaries, and the panel will be joined by Merck for Mothers Executive Director Dr. Priya Agrawal to judge the “MOMents That Matter” category.

#BlogHer16 is the largest gathering of (mostly) women online content creators and social media influencers, joined by the brands, media, and fans who are part of the same social web ecosystem. Taking place August 4-6, 2016 at the JW Marriott Los Angeles at L.A. Live, #BlogHer16: Experts Among Us will draw more than 3,000 social media influencers, thought leaders, entrepreneurs and industry luminaries.
