StyleCaster.com Reports Significant YoY Growth: Reach Increased Nearly 75%; Mobile Traffic to the Site Rose 185% Since Q1 2014
NEW YORK, NY – May 12, 2015 – SheKnows Media, the number-one women’s lifestyle digital media company1 for the third consecutive month with more than 85 million unique visitors per month2 and 162 million social media fans and followers, today announced that it has appointed Jessica Teves to Editor in Chief of StyleCaster, the company’s flagship fashion and beauty property whose audience comprises more than 70% Millennials.3 Across all of its properties, SheKnows Media reaches 34.3 million Millennials each month – more than any other lifestyle digital media brand.4
Most recently, Teves served as Style.com’s Site Director where she led the edit, product and technology teams. Prior to that, she was Managing Editor at Refinery29. As StyleCaster’s new Editor in Chief, Teves will be responsible for driving the brand’s editorial and product integration strategy across its StyleCaster.com, BeautyHigh.com and DailyMakeover.com sites. In the works is an aggressive 2015 product roadmap to roll out new offerings that include StyleCaster Creators, a platform for rising talents, emerging artists and digital-first innovators; a new annual beauty awards program; and Most Stylish LA, the West Coast answer to its Most Stylish New Yorkers tentpole.
Teves will also be accountable for continuing SheKnows Media’s efforts to develop the StyleCaster brand. Since the company’s acquisition of StyleCaster in August 2014, the leading fashion and beauty player has realized substantial year-over-year growth: Compared to first quarter 2014, StyleCaster.com’s unique visitors per month count jumped nearly 75%.5
Reflecting the shift in the way Millennials increasingly prefer to consume and interact with digital content, the brand’s mobile and social traffic also rose significantly over the last 12 months: Mobile device traffic to StyleCaster.com is up 185% since first quarter 2014, and traffic from social networks to the site increased nearly 100% over the same period.6
